Villa Condulmer is one of the best a 5-star hotel in Venice. It’s simply an unforgettable place since 1500 to stay for leisure or business. The strategic location, easily accessible from the airports, allows it to be in a few minutes to Venice.

The Villa is surrounded by the greenery of the huge park where you can take long walks discovering the hidden pond with old trees, a private swimming pool with all the catering services, and ancient ruins that surround the historic home.

The undeniable charm of this pleasant place, goes together with the extreme care of the excellent service that accompanies each guest from the first moment of his arrival with elegance and discretion.

Villa Condulmer is divided into three main sectors:
Classic Rooms: located in the Barchessa, in the Villa and in the Old Convent area
Executive Garden Rooms and Suites surrounded by greenery
Villa Suites in the main ancient buiding.

The origins of the complex are partially shrouded in mystery charm. The date of origin is considered generically in eighteenth century. Giuseppe Venturini is more accurate and dates the origins of the Villa in 1743, commissioned by the patrician Alvise Condulmer; other sources date its construction to 1500.

A mysterious tradition also asserts that the villa was built by demolishing an old convent and it is assumed that the long barn at right angles to the main buiding is actually a rest.

Shortly after the end of the Serenissima republic, the Condulmer died out and the complex was left as an inheritance to the Grassi, owners of the famous Palace in Venice .

Angelo Grassi, last of his family, left the Villa to Giovanni Battista Tornielli, a family friend. In this period the villa was home to Giuseppe Verdi, to which Tornielli had offered a few days of rest after the criticized prima of the famous Traviata. The building was later inherited by Bonaventura and Monti families, which are the actual owners.

The interiors are embellished with fine stuccos and, in the entrance hall on the ground floor, there are four bucolic theme frescoes by Eugenio Moretti Larese). The flooring is the precious “terrazzo veneziano”.

From the east barn (at whose end there is a small chapel) you can access the fascinating garden park by the architect Sebatoni.
