PAOLA – The Town of the Churches

On the western coats It is a delightful, little town, with a modern, seaside lungomare as well as  a medieval character  in the inland

The city takes the name from San Francesco di Paola (1416-1507), founder of the Minims, the strictest order of the Franciscans is the city .  As a matter of fact, Paola has  a deeply religious soul: it is here that you can find some of the most beautiful churches of the Region. Just to name a few:  Santuario di San Francesco, Santissima Annunziata, Santa Maria di Monte Vergine and Santa Caterina.
